National Urban Extension Conference 2019

The National Urban Extension Leaders are proud to present the 2019 National Urban Extension conference, hosted by Washington State University Extension – located in the heart of Downtown Seattle, Washington.

Green infrastructure at NUEC19 conference may 23-24, 2019

POST-CONFERENCE GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE WORKING GROUP:

Extend your visit to Seattle with an EXTRA day of immersive learning with half day working group session on Thursday, May 23rd, followed by a half day morning field trip on Friday, May 24th.

This experience consists of:

  • A half day working group session on Thursday, May 23rd (approximately 1pm-5pm)
  • AND a half day morning field trip to WSU Puyallup Research & Extension Center on Friday, May 24th (approximately 8:30am-2pm).

As you’re building your travel itinerary, please be sure that your flight departure and overnight accommodations coincide with the Friday field trip schedule (This may mean booking a 5pm or later Friday flight home or extending your overnight accommodations through Saturday morning).

Please note – You must also register to attend the National Urban Extension Conference in order to take part in this Green Infrastructure Working Group. The Green Infrastructure Working Group is offered at no additional charge. https://nuec19.brownpapertickets.com

Urban Green Infrastructure Summit

Metropolitan areas face many challenges, including those of urban flooding, storm-water management, air/water quality, public health concerns, and social justice issues. Urban green infrastructure has a role in addressing all these urban issues. The summit will connect government and agency personnel, University researchers, and Extension professional, to create new collaborative networks, identify research and education priorities, and share existing resources.
